Orlando weather today brings sunny skies and 81°F temperatures, but don’t let that fool you—gusty winds and critical fire conditions are the real story for Tuesday.

Post-frontal conditions are settling in across Central Florida, and the National Weather Service is flagging very sensitive to critical fire weather conditions thanks to drier air and frequently gusty northeast winds. Here’s what you need to know:

Today’s Conditions (Tuesday)

Expect sunny skies with a high near 81°F and northeast winds ramping up to 15–20 mph throughout the day, with gusts approaching 25–30 mph inland—and potentially 35 mph along the Space Coast and Treasure Coast. Winds will be strongest during daylight hours, then calm down this evening.

If you’re planning to visit Disney World, Universal Orlando, or SeaWorld, the sunny weather is perfect for park-hopping, but bring a light jacket for the morning (low around 61°F overnight) and stay hydrated in the afternoon heat. The gusty winds might affect some outdoor attractions, but nothing that’ll shut down operations.

Fire Weather & Outdoor Activity Caution

The combination of low humidity, dry air, and gusty winds means if you’re grilling today, keep a close eye on your setup—embers can travel farther than usual. Avoid any outdoor burning, and be extra cautious if you’re planning yard work or landscaping near Lake Eustis, the Orange County parks system, or any natural areas. If you have allergies, the dry conditions and wind will kick up pollen and dust; a pollen count face mask and allergy relief nasal spray can help if you’re spending hours outdoors.

Beach & Water Conditions

Stay out of the water if you’re heading to the coast. The National Weather Service has issued a HIGH risk for numerous, strong, life-threatening rip currents at all Central Florida Atlantic beaches. Rough surf and moderate-to-strong onshore flow will persist through at least mid-week. If you’re a surfer or water sports enthusiast, today is not the day—check back Wednesday or later in the week.

Orlando City SC at Inter&Co Stadium (Wednesday)

If you’re heading to Inter&Co Stadium on Wednesday night to catch Orlando City SC take on Charlotte FC, expect partly sunny conditions with a high near 80°F and much calmer winds (0–10 mph). Perfect tailgating weather! Grab your Orlando City SC jersey or scarf and settle in for a great match. You can find tickets on SeatGeek or StubHub.

Tonight & Beyond

Overnight lows will dip to around 60°F with mostly clear skies. Winds ease to 0–15 mph. Wednesday stays pleasant with partly sunny skies and highs near 80°F—a much more comfortable day overall. By Friday, a warming trend kicks in with isolated storm chances returning over the weekend.

Dinner Idea

With the gusty winds and dry conditions, tonight’s the perfect evening for a hearty pasta dinner—easy to prepare, no need to grill, and comforting as the sun sets. Whip up a quick marinara or creamy Alfredo with fresh vegetables. Did you know you can order groceries on Amazon? Get everything you need for tonight’s dinner delivered straight to your door.

Stay safe out there, and keep an eye on Orlando weather forecasts for any updates to fire weather advisories.
