About Weather Window
Weather Window is a window into your local weather. Managed by a degreed meteorologist, we deliver hyperlocal forecasts, gameday weather, and live conditions for 25 major US metro areas — built on official National Weather Service data, not scraped summaries or AI guesswork.
Forecast Standards
Weather Window treats weather as a decision tool. Should you golf this weekend? Is it safe to grill tonight? Will the game get rained out? Our forecast articles are grounded in official National Weather Service data, Area Forecast Discussions (AFDs), Storm Prediction Center outlooks, and Weather Prediction Center rainfall products where relevant.
We don't scrape other weather sites or rewrite generic forecasts. We pull directly from weather.gov APIs and interpret the data the way a meteorologist would — with local context, nuance, and actionable advice.
What We Do
Every morning, our pipeline pulls real-time forecast data from the National Weather Service for 25 major US metros. We combine that with sports schedules, local events, and product expertise to create content that helps you plan your day — whether that's what to wear, what to bring to the game, or whether the concert will get rained out.
Our Coverage
We currently cover 25 Tier 1 US metros including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, Seattle, Denver, Boston, and more. We're expanding to 100 metros and adding live skycams for each city.
The Deal Doppler
The Deal Doppler is the affiliate arm of Weather Window. Every weather article and gameday post may include carefully matched product recommendations — what to wear in tomorrow's heat, what to grab before the storm, the right gear for the upcoming concert.
The Deal Doppler participates in affiliate marketing programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Our recommendations are based on product quality, value, and relevance — not commission rates.
How We Use AI
Weather Window uses AI-assisted workflows to draft and format coverage at scale. Those workflows are constrained to official weather data, event data, and product/link lists supplied to the system. Articles pass through automated checks for broken links, placeholder text, duplicate slugs, and unsupported claims before publication.
Our editorial policy explains the standards we use for sourcing, weather accuracy, affiliate recommendations, and corrections.
