Orlando weather today is shaping up to be absolutely gorgeous—partly sunny skies, a high near 89°F, and light winds from the west-northwest at 0 to 10 mph, making this one of those picture-perfect Central Florida days you’ve been waiting for.

If you’re planning a day at Disney, Universal, or SeaWorld, you couldn’t ask for better conditions. The afternoon clouds will keep temperatures from climbing above 90°F, so you’ll avoid the most brutal heat while still enjoying plenty of sunshine. Pack sunscreen and a light layer—you’ll be comfortable walking the parks most of the day. There’s only a 4% chance of rain, so your outdoor plans are safe.

The National Weather Service notes there’s a low 20-30% chance of isolated showers along the Treasure Coast this afternoon due to a weak surface trough and the sea breeze forming around 3-4 PM ET, but here in the Orlando metro, we’ll stay mostly dry. If you’re heading to the coast for fishing or beach time, conditions are still excellent early in the day, though seas will begin to pick up tonight.

For golfers at courses around the Winter Park area or down toward Kissimmee, today is prime time—light winds, warm temperatures, and low rain chances make this an ideal round. Same goes for fishing on the lakes and rivers around central Florida—the calm winds this morning and early afternoon are your window before the cold front rolls in tonight.

Here’s where the week takes a turn: a cold front arrives tonight with increasing northeast winds and gusts up to 20 mph by Sunday evening (around 6 PM ET). Boating conditions will deteriorate quickly, and beach conditions will become hazardous by Monday. Monday itself will be noticeably cooler—only 79°F—with gusty northeast winds around 15 mph, gusting to 30 mph. Plan indoor activities for Monday if you can.

Tonight’s the perfect time to fire up the grill. With warm temperatures, light winds, and clear skies, this is ideal grilling weather. Throw on some burgers, steaks, or grilled chicken with corn on the cob. A quality propane gas grill and a reliable instant-read meat thermometer will ensure perfectly cooked meals. If you’re setting up an outdoor entertaining space, consider adding a patio furniture set and some outdoor string lights to create the ultimate backyard experience—the mild evening temperatures (dropping to 67°F by 10 PM ET) will be perfect for lingering outside.

Orlando City SC takes on Charlotte FC at Inter&Co Stadium on Wednesday, April 22nd. Conditions should be pleasant with highs in the mid-70s and breezy northeast winds—perfect tailgating weather before the match.

Looking ahead: Expect cooler air and gusty winds through Tuesday, gradually moderating by midweek. Rain chances increase slightly Monday south of Cape Canaveral but remain low overall. Enjoy today—it’s one of those magical Central Florida days!

Meal idea: Perfect grilling weather calls for a backyard feast. Fire up the grill for burgers, steaks, or grilled chicken with corn on the cob. Grab a portable Bluetooth speaker to set the mood, and consider a picnic basket set if you’re planning to enjoy dinner alfresco.
