Tampa weather today is sunny and near 92°F, with near-record temperatures making this one of the hottest days of spring so far—perfect conditions for getting outside and enjoying everything our area has to offer.

Thanks to high pressure settling in from the Bermuda area and upper-level ridging across Florida, we’re locked into a beautiful, rain-free pattern through Sunday. The National Weather Service says some areas could approach record highs today, so if you’ve got outdoor plans around Clearwater Beach, the Bucs spring training facilities, or Tropicana Field, you’ll want to stay hydrated and seek shade during the peak heat of 2–4 PM ET.

Saturday looks ideal for outdoor fun. Winds will be light (2–8 mph from the south-southwest), so the water at Clearwater Beach and St. Pete Beach will be calm—great for paddleboarders and swimmers. If you’re heading to Tropicana Field or Benchmark International Arena for the Lightning-Canadiens matchup at 7 PM ET Sunday, tailgating conditions will be fantastic, though bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Golf courses across the Tampa Bay area will be in peak condition with mostly clear skies and minimal wind—this is the weekend to get out on the links.

Saturday night stays pleasant with lows around 68°F and partly cloudy skies. Sunday will be slightly cooler (high near 87°F) with partly sunny conditions and a light northwest breeze. The Rays play Cincinnati at Tropicana Field both Sunday and Monday, and Sunday’s game-day weather looks excellent for fans.

Here’s the catch: Monday afternoon a weak frontal boundary moves through, bringing a low 10–30% chance of showers to the interior and southwest Florida. Nothing significant, but keep an eye on conditions if you’re planning outdoor activities inland. By Tuesday, high pressure returns and we’re back to dry, slightly cooler weather for most of next week.

What to do today: This is prime grilling weather. Fire up the propane grill for burgers, steaks, or grilled chicken with corn on the cob—the light winds mean smoke won’t be an issue, and you’ll have plenty of daylight until nearly 8:30 PM ET. If you’re setting up for a backyard cookout, consider investing in some patio furniture and outdoor string lights to make the most of these beautiful evenings. A portable Bluetooth speaker will keep the vibe going, and if you want to turn it into a full outdoor experience, a cornhole game set or hammock with stand are perfect for post-dinner relaxation.

With temperatures climbing into the low 90s, allergies from oak and pine pollen may be elevated—if you’re sensitive, take your allergy meds before heading outside, especially in the morning hours.

Tonight’s dinner idea: Grill up some herb-crusted salmon or marinated chicken breasts with grilled vegetables. The light winds and warm evening make it perfect for eating al fresco. Pair it with a fresh salad and cold beverages. Did you know you can order groceries on Amazon? Get everything you need for tonight’s dinner delivered straight to your door.

Next few days: Enjoy the sunshine and warmth through Sunday. By Monday afternoon, watch for that weak front, then settle in for a pleasant, cooler stretch mid-week.
