Storms are most active before 9 AM CT and again between 9 AM and 1 PM CT, and some could produce heavy rain. Skies stay cloudy and thick through much of the afternoon even as the thunder tapers off. Overnight lows only dip to 71°F before climbing back to around 75°F by daybreak, so it’s a warm, muggy setup start to finish.

Forecasters expect lingering showers into early afternoon, with the best shot at a drier stretch after roughly 1-2 PM CT once the morning training storms move through.
