St. Louis is in for a sunny, pleasant Sunday with a high near 87°F, light north wind around 5 to 9 mph, and lower humidity than we’ve seen lately — a great day to get outside, catch the Cardinals game, or fire up the grill.
Today’s Setup
The National Weather Service says a strengthening upper-level ridge to our west and northwest is holding the stormy weather well to our south, keeping St. Louis dry with mostly clear skies. Dewpoints have dropped into the mid-60s to low-70s, so it’ll feel noticeably less sticky than earlier in the week, even with the sunshine. Forecasters do note patchy fog was possible early this morning in low-lying spots and river valleys — worth knowing if you were out along the Mississippi River before sunrise — but that should burn off quickly once the sun gets up.
Best Window To Be Outside
With a sunny 87°F afternoon and a light breeze, basically any window works today, but mid-morning through early evening is the sweet spot before temperatures ease back toward a low around 69 tonight. It’s a strong day for yard work, a walk along the riverfront near the Gateway Arch, or an afternoon at the ballpark.
Rain, Fire, Or Heat Risk
There’s essentially no rain risk in the metro today — the forecast holds a 1% chance at most. The Weather Prediction Center’s excessive rainfall concerns are focused hundreds of miles away over Kentucky, Tennessee, and the Carolinas, not St. Louis. The only precipitation chance anywhere nearby comes Tuesday afternoon, and even that is confined to far southeast Missouri, well south of the city. No severe weather or heat advisories are in effect.
What To Wear Or Bring
Light, breathable clothing and sunscreen are the move for an 87°F sunny day. Bring an insulated water bottle if you’re out for a while, especially at Busch Stadium this afternoon for the St. Louis Cardinals vs. Atlanta Braves game — tailgating conditions look great with dry skies and only a light north wind. If you’re heading down without tickets yet, you can find tickets on StubHub or get tickets on SeatGeek, and grab a St. Louis Cardinals jersey or St. Louis Cardinals fitted cap to show your colors.
Also happening tonight: Elmiene’s Sounds for Someone Tour at Delmar Hall — mild evening temps near 80°F at showtime make it an easy walk-in night.

Next Few Days
Monday looks nearly identical — sunny, high near 88°F, light northeast wind. Dry weather continues into Tuesday with only a slim, far-southeast-Missouri rain chance that shouldn’t affect the city. Typical summertime heat and humidity return as the week goes on, so enjoy this comfortable stretch while it lasts.
