Seattle is serving up one of its finest early-June days today — sunny skies, a high near 81°F, and zero chance of rain. The Seattle weather forecast doesn’t get cleaner than this.
Today’s Setup
A strong upper-level ridge over British Columbia is locking in warm, dry air across all of Western Washington. Clear skies, north winds at 5 to 10 mph, and Mt. Rainier should be picture-perfect from Kerry Park and Seward Park. Discovery Park, Alki Beach, and the Burke-Gilman Trail are all calling. For a hot-weather day on the water, check out outdoor gear deals — including a 2-Person Intex Floating Lounge with Cooler Just $24 if you want to make the most of Puget Sound.
Best Window To Be Outside
Morning through early afternoon is the smoothest stretch. The National Weather Service expects breezy northerly gusts reaching 15 to 20 mph over Puget Sound this afternoon and evening. Land-based plans are a go all day, but paddlers near Lake Union or off Alki Beach should plan for afternoon chop before sunset.
Heat and Fire Risk This Weekend
Sunday is where it gets serious. The ridge settles directly over the region and drives temperatures to near 87°F, with overnight lows barely falling to around 61°F — little overnight relief, as the National Weather Service noted. Widespread Moderate HeatRisk is forecast for Sunday and Monday across the region. Stay hydrated, limit afternoon exertion, and check on elderly neighbors. Offshore flow will also lower relative humidity and raise fire danger this weekend. Skip open burning entirely, and if you want a backyard fire tonight, a TIKI Brand resin smokeless fire pit is the contained, responsible choice.
Tonight’s Events
Tonight’s lineup is genuinely stacked. Alex Warren brings “Finding Family on the Road” to Climate Pledge Arena — grab an Alex Warren t-shirt before the show and Find tickets on StubHub if you still need seats. The Chelsea Handler: THE HIGH AND MIGHTY TOUR hits the Paramount Theatre, and the ilani BBQ Fest presents Bourbon & Bites is rolling at the Ilani Cowlitz Ballroom — perfect warm-weather BBQ vibes. Down in Tacoma, the Tacoma Rainiers host the Albuquerque Isotopes at Cheney Stadium under clear evening skies. Snag Official team gear on Fanatics and make a night of it.
Looking ahead: the Seattle Mariners take on the Baltimore Orioles on June 18 at T-Mobile Park, and USA faces Australia in the FIFA World Cup Group D match at Lumen Field on June 19. Get tickets on SeatGeek for either one before they sell out.
Dinner Tonight
Fire up the grill — tonight’s weather demands it. A Father’s Day grilling set is perfectly timed with the holiday one week out. Or keep it simple with pasta or stir-fry for any crowd. Need ingredients? You can order groceries on Amazon and have everything for tonight’s dinner delivered to your door.
Next Few Days
Sunday peaks near 87°F with Moderate HeatRisk, and Monday holds similarly warm before the ridge weakens Tuesday. Increased onshore flow returns and temperatures ease to more seasonal levels through the rest of the week. Classic Pacific Northwest: soak up the heat window while it lasts.
