Los Angeles is waking up to classic June Gloom this Saturday, June 6, with patchy fog blanketing the coast and valleys through mid-morning before temperatures climb to a comfortable high near 77°F — plenty mild to get outside, once the marine layer does its thing.

Today’s Setup

The National Weather Service is forecasting patchy fog through the morning, thickest near the coast from Santa Monica to Malibu and across the San Fernando Valley. Inland spots like Griffith Park and Pasadena should see it clear a bit sooner. Light south-southwest winds at 0 to 10 mph keep conditions pleasant once the haze lifts, and skies stay mostly cloudy through the afternoon. This is textbook June Gloom — calm, cool, and gray until it isn’t. If you have a pool float lounger ready to go, mid-afternoon is your best window. Tonight drops to around 59°F, so grab a jacket for any evening plans.

Tonight’s Events: Hollywood Bowl, Honda Center, and More

Saturday night is stacked across the metro. The 37th Annual MARIACHI USA with fireworks lights up the Hollywood Bowl tonight — temps slide toward 60°F by fireworks time, so layers are a must at the Bowl. Across town, MANÁ: VIVIR SIN AIRE TOUR rocks Honda Center in Anaheim — indoor show, but plan for low 60s in the parking lot. Qatar also faces El Salvador at BMO Stadium in an international soccer friendly tonight. Still hunting seats for any of these? Get tickets on SeatGeek or Find tickets on StubHub.

Sunday: Fog Burns Off for the Dodgers Game

Sunday looks like the better outdoor day of the weekend. The National Weather Service calls for patchy fog before 11 AM, then mostly sunny with a high near 75°F. The Los Angeles Dodgers host the Los Angeles Angels at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium on June 7 — afternoon baseball weather looks ideal. Bring your Los Angeles Angels jersey if you’re making the cross-town trip to cheer on the visitors. That evening, Paul Simon plays the Hollywood Bowl and RUSH: Fifty Something hits the Kia Forum — with temps dipping into the upper 50s after dark, a RUSH hoodie is the right call for both outdoor venues.

Next Few Days

The National Weather Service expects the marine layer to deepen Sunday to around 3,500 feet, with minimal clearing near the beaches through early next week. A 30–40% chance of advisory-level Sundowner winds is possible Sunday in the Santa Barbara area west of San Marco Pass — nothing significant expected for central LA. A warming trend builds starting Tuesday as ridging moves in from the west, and most of the metro should be near or slightly above normal by next weekend. Looking ahead, the Angels host the Houston Astros at Angel Stadium on June 9 — tailgating conditions should improve as temps rise. A Los Angeles Angels fitted cap is a solid pick for any fan heading out to Anaheim.

Dinner Tonight

Cool, foggy evenings call for easy comfort food — a pasta or stir-fry is just right without heating up the whole kitchen. Need ingredients? You can order groceries on Amazon and have everything at your door in time for dinner. With Father’s Day just around the corner, a Father’s Day grilling set is also worth a look while the weekend grilling window is open.
