Los Angeles is starting Monday with patchy coastal fog through late morning, then clearing to mostly sunny skies with a high near 79°F — get outside today, because a Heat Advisory is on the way for much of LA County starting Tuesday.

Today’s Setup

The National Weather Service says fog lifts around 11 AM PT, giving way to sunny conditions with light south-southwest winds of 0 to 10 mph. Whether you’re hiking in Griffith Park, strolling the Venice Boardwalk, or teeing off somewhere in the Valley, Monday afternoon is about as comfortable as early summer in LA gets. Overnight, expect patchy fog to return after 11 PM with a low around 63°F — easy sleeping weather.

Heat Advisory: Tuesday and Wednesday

This is the big story for your week. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for LA County’s interior coastal plain, valleys, and mountains from Tuesday through Wednesday. Highs climb to near 83°F Tuesday and near 85°F Wednesday, running 4 to 8 degrees above seasonal normals for inland areas. Wednesday also brings an influx of mid-level moisture that could push the heat even higher. Keep an insulated water bottle with you and shift outdoor activity to the cooler mornings.

Best Window To Be Outside

Today is your golden window before the heat builds. Golf conditions are near-perfect — calm winds, cool morning air, sunny afternoons. A great day to put some new Pinemeadow Golf wedges through their paces at your local course. If you’re thinking about pool time or a backyard float later in the week, the 2-Person Intex Floating Lounge with Cooler Just $24 on Amazon is a smart grab ahead of the heat wave. Gameday and Event Weather

Outdoor fans have a packed week. The Los Angeles Angels host the Baltimore Orioles at Angel Stadium on Tuesday, June 23 and Wednesday, June 24. Tuesday is about as good as baseball weather gets — mostly sunny near 83°F. Wednesday could feel more humid with that mid-level moisture pushing in, but no rain is expected at game time. Suit up in a Los Angeles Angels jersey or Los Angeles Angels fitted cap and Get tickets on SeatGeek before the series fills up.

World Cup fans: USA takes on Turkey in Match 59 at SoFi Stadium on Thursday, June 25 — temperatures should be moderating from the mid-week peak by then, making it an excellent day for 90,000 fans in Inglewood.

Later in the week, the Don Toliver Octane Tour stops at Crypto.com Arena on June 28 — a great air-conditioned option if the lingering warmth has you craving great music indoors.

Grill Tonight

With 79°F and calm winds, tonight is made for the backyard. Fire up burgers, steaks, or grilled chicken with corn on the cob. Use an instant-read meat thermometer so nothing comes off overcooked. Need ingredients? You can order groceries on Amazon and have everything for tonight’s dinner delivered to your door.

Next Few Days

  • Tuesday: Fog clears by 11 AM, mostly sunny, high near 83°F — Heat Advisory in effect for the valleys and interior coastal plain.
  • Wednesday: Near 85°F with mid-level moisture; the National Weather Service puts a slight 10% chance of rain in the mix.
  • Thursday–Weekend: Temperatures trend cooler heading into the end of the week — relief arrives just in time for the weekend crowd.
