Highs climb into the upper 90s to near 100°F, with only a slight, 10-20% chance of an isolated afternoon storm — mainly for our eastern counties after 4 PM CT. Overnight lows only dip to around 80°F before creeping back up to 82°F by early morning, so it stays muggy after dark too.

Notably, the NWS says forecast wet bulb globe temperatures (86-89°F range) fell just short of Heat Advisory criteria, so none is posted today — but heat index values near 102°F still call for real caution outdoors. There’s no severe weather outlook posted for our area today, and the Weather Prediction Center’s excessive rainfall risk stays well north over eastern Kansas and Oklahoma, not North Texas.
