Charlotte, NC is in for a gorgeous Monday, June 15 — sunny skies and a high near 88°F with noticeably lower humidity that makes this one of the most comfortable days the Queen City has seen all month. If you’ve been waiting for a reason to get outside, today is it.

Today’s Setup

A cold front pushed through overnight and is already well south of Charlotte, according to the National Weather Service. Dewpoints will mix out into the 50s to lower 60s — a genuine relief for mid-June. North-northwest winds around 7 mph keep things breezy without being disruptive, the rain chance is zero, and skies are sunny wall to wall. Tonight cools to around 66°F with partly cloudy skies and just a 3% chance of rain.

Best Window To Be Outside

Honestly, all of it — but aim to wrap up strenuous activity before 3 PM ET when the sun peaks hardest, then head back out after 5 PM. A Lake Norman boat trip, a morning walk on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway, or a round at one of the metro’s courses will feel fantastic with this air mass in place. Gardeners near Dilworth or NoDa: today is prime planting weather. A live herb plant collection would go right into the ground this morning, and setting up an oscillating lawn sprinkler before 10 AM keeps the grass happy before the heat peaks.

Tonight: Khalid at Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre

Heading to the Khalid: It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour at Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre tonight? The weather is cooperating fully — expect 66°F, light wind, and a virtually zero rain risk. Leave the umbrella at home.

Concerts Coming Up This Week

On Wednesday, June 17, the Forrest Frank: The Jesus Generation Tour lands at Spectrum Center with mild temps around 84°F and mostly cloudy skies — dry and comfortable. A Forrest Frank t-shirt is a solid show-night look; grab tickets on SeatGeek.

Then on Saturday, June 20, Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show comes to Bank of America Stadium. Tailgating conditions look decent for the weekend. A Chris Stapleton t-shirt or Chris Stapleton hat is the move before heading Uptown — tickets are available on SeatGeek. With Father’s Day weekend landing right then, a Father’s Day grilling set is also worth having on hand for the cookout before the show.

What’s Coming Mid-Week and Beyond

Tuesday stays mostly cloudy with a high near 84°F and essentially no rain. Wednesday warms back toward 90°F under mostly sunny skies, but the National Weather Service is watching a tropical disturbance near the Gulf Coast that could drag moisture northward and push rain chances back into the Charlotte area by late in the week. Model disagreement is high on timing and intensity, so keep checking the Charlotte weather forecast for updates as the week goes on.

Dinner Tonight

Tonight’s mild 66°F evening is perfect for a light pasta with fresh herbs or a quick stir-fry on the patio — nothing heavy, nothing complicated. Need ingredients? You can order groceries on Amazon and have everything at your door well before dinnertime. Check outdoor gear deals if you’re stocking up for the rest of the week too.
