Baltimore is looking at a hot, mostly dry Saturday with a high near 90°F and partly sunny skies before a much wetter pattern moves in Sunday — today’s your best window for anything outdoors, so get it done early with plenty of water on hand.

Today’s Setup

The National Weather Service says high pressure is sliding out over the Atlantic today, opening the door for a warm southerly breeze and a noticeable jump in humidity. Winds stay light out of the southeast at 0 to 12 mph, and only a stray shower is possible this afternoon — the chance of rain sits at just 1%. Tonight stays mild and mostly cloudy with a low around 75°F.

Best Window To Be Outside

Morning through early afternoon is the play, whether you’re walking the Inner Harbor promenade, hitting the trails at Patapsco Valley State Park, or getting yard work done before the heat peaks. With highs near 90°F, sunscreen and a UPF sun hoodie are worth having — the UPF 50+ Sun Hoodie deal is running for just $5 right now and works great for anyone out on the water or the Chesapeake Bay shoreline.

Orioles Gameday & Weekend Events

The Baltimore Orioles host the Philadelphia Phillies at Camden Yards today and tomorrow, plus the Los Angeles Angels on August 4. Today’s game should be hot but dry for tailgating — grab a Baltimore Orioles jersey or Baltimore Orioles fitted cap before first pitch, and get tickets on SeatGeek if you’re still deciding. Across town, Oliver Tree plays The Fillmore Silver Spring tonight, and Karol G brings the VIAJANDO POR EL MUNDO TROPITOUR to Northwest Stadium Sunday — with storms likely by afternoon, plan for a Karol G t-shirt or Karol G hoodie and check tickets on StubHub before heading out.

Rain Risk Sunday Into Next Week

This is the real story. Per the NWS Baltimore/Washington forecast discussion, a stalling cold front and a building Bermuda High will trap deep tropical moisture over the region starting Sunday, with showers and thunderstorms possible through much of next week. Sunday’s high near 87°F comes with a 52% chance of storms after 2 PM ET, and Sunday night’s chance jumps to 90% with a half to three-quarter inch of rain possible — locally heavy rain is a real concern into Monday.

What To Wear Or Bring

Today, go light and breathable, and keep the running shoes men’s pair packed if you’re getting a workout in before the humidity builds. By Sunday, swap plans toward indoor options or have rain gear ready for Camden Yards and Karol G’s show.

Tonight’s Dinner

With highs near 90°F, it’s too hot to fire up the stove — try a cold Thai noodle salad, a build-your-own wrap bar, or smoothie bowls instead. A high-powered blender makes quick work of smoothie bowls, and an insulated tumbler 30oz keeps drinks cold on the porch. Need ingredients? You can order groceries on Amazon and have everything for tonight’s dinner delivered to your door.

Next Few Days

Enjoy today’s drier stretch — it won’t last. Expect rounds of showers and thunderstorms Sunday into Monday and a pattern that stays unsettled through much of next week as the front stalls near the Mid-Atlantic.

Upcoming Home Games

Plan around the forecast — grab tickets, gear up, and see kickoff conditions.
