Bon Jovi rolls into Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night for the Forever Tour, and doors open ahead of a 7:30 PM ET start. This is a full arena show under one roof, so once you’re inside, nothing about the sky outside matters — the Garden is climate-controlled and the show goes on rain or shine.

Getting There

The trip in is where the weather actually matters. The National Weather Service has Tuesday pegged as sunny with a high near 93°F and a heat index up to 96, so walking from parking or the subway to the Garden will feel like peak summer. Winds out of the southwest at 10 to 18 mph won’t cause problems, but combined with the heat, you’ll want to keep the walk short and stay hydrated before you’re in line. Chance of rain is basically nil at 1%, so you don’t need to worry about getting caught in a downpour on the way in.

MSG sits right above Penn Station, so arriving by train is the easiest way to skip a hot walk from a parking garage. If you’re driving, give yourself extra time — nearby garages fill up fast for a Tuesday night arena show, and standing around outside in 93-degree heat waiting for a spot is not how you want to start the night.

What to Bring (and Wear)

Arenas like the Garden run their AC hard once packed with a full crowd, and it can get chilly compared to the heat outside. A light layer over your show outfit isn’t a bad call for later in the night.

Rep your fandom before you even get to your seat with a Bon Jovi t-shirt or a Bon Jovi hoodie for that AC swing — either works as your concert outfit. Add a Bon Jovi hat if you want to complete the look, and a Bon Jovi poster is a solid pickup for after the show if you want something to hang up back home. Sound levels at arena shows add up over a few hours, so it’s worth having concert ear plugs high fidelity in your pocket if you want the volume without the ringing ears the next morning.

Practical Tips

Give yourself plenty of buffer before the 7:30 PM ET start — security lines move slower than you’d expect on a packed Tuesday night. Check MSG’s bag policy before you leave the house, since arena venues are strict about what you can carry in, and plan your exit route in advance so you’re not standing around in the heat afterward waiting to figure out where you parked.
