St. Louis weather today is sunny and pleasant at 67°F, with light northwest winds making it one of the nicest days we’ve had in a while—and a great break before cooler weather settles in this weekend.
A cold front pushed through early this morning, clearing out the last of those light showers and ushering in a crisp, dry air mass that’ll stick around through Saturday. The National Weather Service forecasters tell us we’re in for seasonally cool conditions through the first half of the weekend, so today really is your sweet spot to get outside and enjoy spring.
What to do today: This is ideal weather for a stroll through Forest Park, a round at one of our local courses (those adidas Samba Spikeless Golf Shoes Half Off at $42 would be perfect timing), or heading down to the riverfront near the Gateway Arch. The low humidity and sunshine make it comfortable for just about anything. If you’ve been putting off yard work, today’s your day—the winds are light enough that you won’t be fighting Mother Nature, and the cooler temps mean you won’t overheat while mowing.
If you’re heading to Busch Stadium for the St. Louis Cardinals vs Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday, May 1st, expect mostly sunny skies with highs around 68°F—bring a light jacket for the evening, though. Grab Official team gear on Fanatics to show your Cards pride, and check out tickets on SeatGeek or Find tickets on StubHub if you haven’t locked in your seats yet. It’ll be pleasant tailgating weather, so a portable propane grill would be perfect for pre-game grilling near the stadium.
Also happening this week: the PUSCIFER: The Normal Isn’t Tour at The Factory on Thursday, April 30th—indoor venue, so weather won’t be a factor. Grab tickets on StubHub for that one.
Allergy heads, take note: With spring in full swing and pollen counts climbing, consider keeping an allergy relief nasal spray or eye drops for allergy itch relief handy. A pollen count face mask is worth having on hand for higher-pollen days, especially as we move into May.
Tonight and Thursday: Temperatures dip to around 45°F Wednesday night with partly cloudy skies—cool but not cold. Thursday stays mostly sunny with highs near 68°F, though we’ll see a slight chance (20%) of showers Thursday night as a weak cold front slides through. Confidence in widespread rain is low, but keep an eye on the forecast.
Looking ahead: Friday will be the coolest day of the period, with highs below 65°F area-wide. By Sunday, temperatures climb back to near normal and stay there into next week.
For tonight’s dinner, a simple pasta with fresh vegetables or a quick stir-fry works perfectly for this mild weather—nothing heavy needed. You can order groceries on Amazon and have everything delivered, including fresh produce and your favorite pasta sauce.
