San Francisco weather today is sunny and 67°F, with light west-southwest winds—one of the nicest days we’ve had in a while, and the perfect opportunity to get outside across the Bay Area.

After a chilly overnight low around 51°F with partly cloudy skies, temperatures will climb steadily through the morning and peak in the mid-to-upper 60s by early afternoon before cooling slightly to 65°F. The National Weather Service notes that a cut-off low to the south will keep our marine layer intact through the week, so coastal neighborhoods like the Sunset, Richmond, and around Ocean Beach will max out closer to 60°F—that classic San Francisco day where you’ll want layers. But here’s the good news: inland areas from the Mission to the Presidio to the Marina will see those upper 60s, and if you head across the Bay to Oakland or inland to the Peninsula, you could push toward the low 70s.

This is your day to hit Golden Gate Park with an outdoor yoga mat, explore Lands End, or grab a picnic at Alamo Square. If you’ve been meaning to get your yard in shape, today’s the day—light winds mean no rake-flying surprises, and the dry conditions are ideal for any lawn work. For the golfers, those adidas Samba Spikeless Golf Shoes Half Off at $42 would be perfect for a round at Lincoln Park or any Bay Area course; the soft turf and calm winds make for ideal playing conditions.

By Tuesday night, expect patchy fog to develop after 5 AM, particularly in the valleys and lower elevations, so don’t be surprised if Wednesday morning starts gray before clearing out to another sunny day with highs near 68°F. The warming trend continues inland through Wednesday, but the coast stays locked in that marine influence.

One heads-up: allergy season is in full swing across the Bay, so if you’re sensitive to pollen, consider keeping an air quality monitor indoor handy to track conditions while you’re planning your time outside. The dry, sunny weather means pollen counts will likely stay elevated through the afternoon.

If you’re heading to the Charlie Puth - Whatever’s Clever! World Tour at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Friday, May 1st, grab your tickets on SeatGeek—and snag a Charlie Puth t-shirt, Charlie Puth hoodie, or Charlie Puth hat to complete your concert look. By then, conditions will still be mostly pleasant, though slightly cooler.

For tonight’s dinner, take advantage of the sunshine and grill something simple—a tri-tip, some vegetables, or fresh fish. You can order groceries on Amazon and grab everything you need, including a live herb plant collection to freshen up your outdoor space and an insulated water jug 1 gallon to keep drinks cold while you cook.

Looking ahead: Wednesday stays sunny and warm inland; Thursday brings the first real shift as cooler air moves in. Keep an eye on the weekend—rain chances return as that pattern change arrives, so enjoy these next two days while we have them.
