Partly Sunny Tuesday With Perfect Outdoor Weather Ahead
Hey neighbors! We’re looking at a beautiful day ahead here in Houston. Expect partly sunny skies with highs near 83°F and light to moderate south winds of 5 to 15 mph—perfect weather for getting outside and enjoying our Space City sunshine.
Today’s Perfect Conditions
If you’re an early riser, our friends at the National Weather Service mentioned the International Space Station will be visible from Houston around 6:04 to 6:10 this morning, though our mostly cloudy overnight conditions might make it a bit tricky to spot. But don’t worry—those clouds will clear out nicely as we move into the afternoon, giving us plenty of blue sky to enjoy.
The drier air moving in from the southwest will keep rain chances down to just 3%, so this is an excellent day to tackle outdoor projects. If you’ve been meaning to mow the lawn or do some yard work, today’s your day. Just watch out for those gusts up to 25 mph—if you’re planning any outdoor setup like a pop-up canopy tent for a gathering, make sure you’ve got proper weights to keep everything secure.
Perfect Grilling Weather
This is absolutely prime grilling weather, folks. Fire up that propane grill for some burgers, steaks, or grilled chicken with corn on the cob. With these comfortable temperatures and low rain chances, you can grill with confidence. An instant-read meat thermometer takes the guesswork out of doneness, and you’ll want to make sure your grill grates are clean for the best results.
Baseball Weather at Daikin Park
Astros fans, take note! The team kicks off a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies Wednesday through Friday at Daikin Park. Wednesday and Thursday are looking especially nice for baseball with highs in the low-to-mid 80s and minimal rain chances. If you’re planning to tailgate before the games, bring some sunscreen and stay hydrated—it’ll feel warmer than the actual temperature with our Gulf Coast humidity.
Looking Ahead
Tonight stays mostly cloudy with lows around 70°F—pleasant sleeping weather if you like to crack open a window. Wednesday looks nearly identical to today: partly sunny, 83°F, and dry conditions. Thursday warms up a bit to 86°F, still with great outdoor conditions.
The big change comes this weekend. A cold front is moving in, and rain chances increase significantly Saturday and Sunday. After the front passes, we’ll see more seasonal conditions moving into early next week—nothing severe expected, just a typical spring pattern.
So make the most of these next few days of sunshine and warmth. Get outside, enjoy that grill, and catch a ballgame if you can. This is Houston weather at its best!
Stay weather-aware, friends!
