Mostly Sunny Wednesday in LA: Perfect Day to Get Outside

Hey neighbors! We’ve got a really nice day ahead of us today—the kind of Wednesday that makes you want to ditch the desk and get outside. Here’s what you need to know:

Today’s Forecast: Go Outside and Enjoy It

Mostly sunny skies with a high near 73°F and just light south winds (0-10 mph). There’s zero chance of rain, and we’re looking at some of the most straightforward, pleasant weather we’ve had in a while. Humidity will be low, the marine layer is staying put over western Santa Barbara County and maybe Long Beach, so most of us will have clear, blue skies.

This is the day to mow the lawn, hit the hiking trails (Runyon Canyon or Griffith Park are calling), or head to the beach. If you’ve been putting off yard work or that golf outing, today’s your day. Light winds mean conditions will be stable—great for grilling too if you’re planning a midweek cookout.

Tonight & Tomorrow: Watch for Patchy Fog

After sunset, expect patchy fog to develop after 11 p.m., with temperatures dropping to around 54°F. Don’t worry—it’s nothing serious, just that typical spring marine layer. Thursday morning will start mostly cloudy with more patchy fog before 11 a.m., but it’ll burn off by afternoon. High Thursday will be similar to today, near 74°F, with mostly sunny skies developing as those clouds move out.

The National Weather Service notes there’s some uncertainty about how much those high clouds will stick around Thursday, especially in LA County, but we’re expecting another pleasant day overall.

Dodgers Game Tonight? You’re Golden

If you’re heading to Dodger Stadium tonight to catch the Mets matchup, you couldn’t ask for better conditions. Clear skies, mild temperatures in the low 50s by game time, and no wind to worry about. Grab your tickets on SeatGeek or StubHub if you haven’t already, and maybe snag some official gear on Fanatics to show your support. Just bring a light jacket for the evening.

Looking Ahead: Dry Through Friday

The good news keeps rolling—we’re staying dry through at least Friday. Northerly offshore winds will develop Thursday, bringing slightly warmer conditions to the LA and Ventura County coasts. The next chance of rain doesn’t arrive until Monday, so enjoy this stretch while it lasts.

Dinner Idea

With this beautiful weather, why not fire up the grill for a simple pasta primavera or stir-fry with fresh spring veggies? Light, fresh, and perfect for a mild evening.

Stay safe out there, and make the most of this gorgeous stretch!
